Meet the artist
Saleha Komal
Saleha is a self-taught Pakistani-Canadian who uses art as a way to explore the deep ties between nature and human life.
From geometry to texture, her admiration for nature is the inspiration of all her work, and she tries her best to portray that through different mediums.
About Saleha
Saleha is a fully self-taught artist based on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬr (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, also known as Vancouver.
Her paintings often feature vivid blues and greens, drawing inspiration from nature and The Creator’s creation.
She works primarily in oil and acrylic, but also explores other mediums like clay, collage, photography and organic materials, open to anything that brings her vision to life.
She believes that art is the heart of the human experience, and without it, we would be hollow vessels, without any substance or emotion.
